Autumn trends collage
Fall or autumn depending on what you call it is almost here. Magazines and blogs are filled with autumn trend predictions well bigger magazines start to do it way ahead of the year, as early as January sometimes but realistically for a person who just wants to incorporate the seasonal trends in their wardrobe depending on their budget but not completely overhaul it, this is the time to look around for autumn trends because now they are not just prediction we are surely going to see some of them around. Here are some that I’m looking forward to.

1. Red/Burgundy

Fashions biggest names were coloured in red, we saw burgundy thigh high boots by Fendi, sleek red coats by Givenchy as well as all over red. Max Mara had red in form of velvet trousers and oversized coats, magazines are calling red the colour of fall 2017, I won’t pretend to know something about that but red is definitely going to enjoy some time in the spot light for sure.

2. Polka Dots

Polka Dots are going to make a triumphant return this year. Balenciaga had voluminous polka dot gowns, Giambattista Valli had black and white polka dots mixed with florals and Zimmerman had flowy midi dresses in polka dots. This whimsical print is definitely making a comeback.

3. Silver/Glitter

Who doesn’t like a little sparkle and shine every now and then? Saint Laurent had loose midi dresses, Chanel took it one step further there were even silver glitter boots (sigh). Silver and metallic sparkles were definitely ruling the runway and it is bound to trickle down to something everyone can wear.

4. Midi Skirts

Mid length skirts and hems are in for autumn and fall, all the big designers had them at mid length or longer nothing super short as far as I know.

5. Ankle Boots

Ankle boots are not really ground breaking news for autumn and fall, ankle boots are swimsuits of fall. But still it’s good to know they are going strong and nothing atrocious is trying to replace them.

6. Velvet

Designers are still not over velvet. This autumn and fall velvet especially in jewel tones in some form or fashion is going to be around.

There are plenty more autumn/fall trends like fringe, winter florals, check, trenches and chocolate brown colour but these are the ones I am looking forward to the most.

Did this summer go faster than usual or is it just me?
